BUENOS AIRES, Feb. 24 (Xinhua) -- Adrian Martinez struck a second-half winner as Racing Club clinched a 1-0 away win at Independiente in Argentina's Primera Division on Saturday.

The visitors broke the deadlock in the 62nd minute after Juan Fernando Quintero combined with Bruno Zuculini and the latter played a superb through ball that released Martinez.

The 31-year-old forward timed his run to perfection to beat the offside trap and round goalkeeper Rodrigo Rey before firing into an unguarded net.

Racing are now third in the 14-team Group B standings with 13 points from seven outings, three points behind leaders Godoy Cruz. Independiente remain the Group A leaders, also with 13 points.

In Santa Fe, Union scored two goals either side of halftime en route to a 4-1 home defeat of Independiente Rivadavia

Gonzalo Morales, Franco Pardo, Lucas Gamba and Mauro Luna were on target for the hosts while Victorio Ramis netted for the visitors.

In other Primera Division fixtures on Saturday, Belgrano were held to a 2-2 home draw by Talleres Cordoba, Huracan drew 0-0 at home to San Lorenzo and Sarmiento were held to a goalless home draw by Barracas Central.
