SEOUL, Feb. 25 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed and several others wounded as a cargo trailer's wheel came off and hit a tourist bus on a South Korean highway, Yonhap news agency said Sunday.
A back wheel was detached from the trailer driving toward the capital Seoul on an expressway in Gyeonggi province at about 4:09 p.m. local time (0709 GMT).
The detached tire ran over the median strip and broke through the windshield of the tourist bus, which was driving on the opposite lane.
A bus driver and a passenger sitting diagonally behind the driver were killed after being hit by the tire.
Two passengers were seriously wounded but not in life-threatening condition, while some 10 others suffered minor injuries.
The police were investigating the trailer driver in his 60s to determine the cause of the accident. ■
