NEW YORK, Feb. 22 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 jolted Kuril Islands at 19:25:41 GMT on Thursday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 30.5 km, was initially determined to be at 47.38 degrees north latitude and 153.91 degrees east longitude. ■
