DHAKA, Feb. 20 (Xinhua) -- Bangladeshi exporters have received spot orders worth 3.92 billion taka (around 35.62 million U.S. dollars) from international buyers at the Dhaka International Trade Fair.
It was 5 million dollars higher compared to the previous year, Bangladeshi State Minister for Commerce Ahasanul Islam Titu said at the closing ceremony of the trade show.
As a yearly program of the Bangladeshi government, the event was aimed at showcasing local products to foreign buyers.
A total of some 300 stalls, pavilions and mini pavilions were set up this year. Countries including China, India, Iran, Pakistan and Singapore participated in the fair. ■
