HONG KONG, Feb. 21 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.4 hit Fiji islands region at 1407 GMT on Wednesday, the GFZ German Research Center for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 290.8 km, was initially determined to be at 20.81 degrees south latitude and 176.58 degrees west longitude. ■
