BUENOS AIRES, Feb. 18 (Xinhua) -- Tomas Badaloni scored two second-half goals as Godoy Cruz continued their bright start to the season with a 2-0 away win over Racing Club in Argentina's Primera Division on Saturday.
The visitors went ahead on the hour courtesy of a powerful Badaloni header following Manuel Guillen's cross from the right wing.
The 23-year-old center forward doubled his side's lead four minutes later when he was left unmarked at the far post and volleyed home from the edge of the six-yard box after a Juan Cejas corner.
The Mendoza outfit were in cruise control thereafter as Racing were condemned to their first defeat since the opening weekend of the season.
Godoy Cruz are now four points clear at the top of Group B with 16 points from six matches while Racing are fourth, six points off the pace.
In other Primera Division fixtures on Saturday, San Lorenzo won 2-0 at home to Tigre and Rosario Central edged to a 2-1 home victory over Gimnasia. ■
