SOFIA, Feb. 15 (Xinhua) -- Bulgarian authorities have seized more than 130 kg of marijuana, the Interior Ministry said in a press release on Thursday.
The illicit drug, split into 24 cardboard boxes, was found in a van that was stopped for inspection on a motorway 125 km southeast of Sofia, the ministry said.
The ministry revealed that the marijuana was sent from Western Europe. The driver of the vehicle was arrested.
Subsequently, the authorities arrested an alleged accomplice, the ministry said, adding that an investigation is underway. ■
