CAIRO -- Fifteen people were killed and seven others injured Tuesday in a multiple-vehicle collision on Cairo-Alexandria desert road near Amreya City, north of the Egyptian capital, according to state-run MENA news agency.
Security forces and ambulances immediately rushed to the scene of the accident. The injured were transported to the hospital for treatment, MENA quoted local authorities as saying. (Egypt-Car Collision-Casualty)

TEHRAN -- Iranian Defense Minister Mohammad Reza Ashtiani said on Tuesday his ministry was ready to expand military and technical cooperation with Saudi Arabia, the semi-official Mehr news agency reported.
During a meeting with Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to Iran Abdullah bin Saud al-Anzi in the Iranian capital Tehran, Ashtiani highlighted areas in which the armed forces of the two countries could cooperate, including those of military, security, intelligence and technology. GAZA -- At least 10 Palestinians were wounded on Tuesday in an Israeli artillery shell targeted the outer hall of the Rafah border crossing in the southern Gaza Strip.

SANAA -- The United States and Britain launched new strikes on Tuesday on Houthi targets in Yemen's province of Hodeidah, on the Red Sea, Houthi-run al-Masirah TV reported.
