GAZA, Feb. 13 (Xinhua) -- At least 10 Palestinians were wounded on Tuesday in an Israeli artillery shell targeted the outer hall of the Rafah border crossing in the southern Gaza Strip.
The director of media at the crossing said in a press statement that an Israeli artillery shell hit the outer hall of the Rafah crossing, resulting in moderate injuries to 10 passengers and causing damage to the outer wall of the hall.
Despite the bombing, the crossing movement continued without hindrance, according to the statement.
Also on Tuesday, the Hamas-run Health Ministry announced that the Israeli military killed 133 Palestinians and wounded 162 others in the Gaza Strip during the past 24 hours.
This brings the total number of deaths to 28,473 and injuries to 68,146 in the Palestinian enclave since the Israel-Hamas conflict broke out on Oct. 7, 2023, the ministry said in a press statement.
Palestinian casualties were reported Tuesday from the Israeli aerial and artillery bombardment on the Nuseirat refugee camp in central Gaza, and various areas of the southern city of Rafah, according to Palestinian medical and security sources.
According to the security sources, Israeli artillery bombed several areas in the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, and as a result, the electricity supply to the Nasser Medical Complex in the city was cut off, noting that the complex has been under siege by the Israeli army for about two weeks, according to the Ministry of Health.
The Israeli army announced in a press statement that three soldiers were killed on Monday in the battles in the Gaza Strip.
According to Israeli media outlets, this brings the number of army deaths since the outbreak of the war against Hamas in Gaza to 569
In addition, the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas, announced in a statement on Monday that its members clashed with a group of Israeli soldiers in the Abasan area, east of Khan Yunis, and detonated an anti-personnel device in another force in the same area. ■
