ISLAMABAD, Feb. 5 (Xinhua) -- A bomb went off in Pakistan's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Monday, leaving at least one policeman killed and two others injured, official sources said.
The explosion happened when a police bomb disposal squad was defusing an improvised explosive device in Shigo Kas area of Lower Dir district in the province, the sources told Xinhua.
Following the incident, police along with rescue personnel reached the area and shifted the wounded to a nearby hospital, where one person is said to be in critical condition.
Security forces cordoned off the area and kicked off an investigation into the incident.
No groups or individuals have claimed the blast yet. ■
