SANAA -- The U.S.-British maritime coalition in the Red Sea launched seven airstrikes against Houthi sites in the northwestern Yemeni province of Hajjah on Friday, the Houthi-run al-Masirah TV reported.

JUBA -- The death toll in communal clashes between armed youth from the Warrap State and the neighboring Lakes State and Unity State of South Sudan has risen to 39, along with 81 injuries.

DAMASCUS -- Israeli warplanes conducted an aerial attack early Friday on several locations south of the Syrian capital, causing material damage, the Syrian Defense Ministry said in a statement.

NAIROBI-- At least two people were killed and 222 others injured in an inferno resulting from a gas explosion in the capital of Kenya here, an official confirmed on Friday morning.
Government Spokesman Isaac Mwaura said the fire, which started at around 11:30 p.m. Thursday local time (2030 GMT), was caused by a truck loaded with gas cylinders that exploded, igniting a huge fireball that spread to a warehouse and a neighborhood nearby. (Kenya-Fire)
