JERUSALEM, Feb. 1 (Xinhua) -- FIBA Champions League side Hapoel Jerusalem parted ways with former NBA player Maurice Ndour, according to a statement issued by the Israeli club on Thursday.

The Senegalese power forward joined Jerusalem last August and contributed an average of 9.8 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in five Champions League games.

Several Israeli sports media reported that 31-year-old Ndour is close to signing with Russia's Lokomotiv Kuban of the VTB United League.

Ndour's career includes 32 NBA games with the New York Knicks, eight with the Zhejiang Golden Bulls of the Chinese Basketball Association, and winning Spanish league and cup titles with Real Madrid.

He also played for four other European clubs, Nagoya Diamond of Japan and Guangxi Weizhuang of China's second-tier National Basketball League.

He won the bronze medal twice with the Senegal national team at the FIBA African Championship, in 2017 and 2021.
