KUWAIT CITY, Jan. 25 (Xinhua) -- The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior announced on Thursday that it thwarted an attempt by a terrorist cell to attack a Shiite place of worship, the state news agency KUNA reported.
Acting on surveillance and security tips, Kuwaiti security agents arrested three suspects on charges of being associated with a terror group, the KUNA cited a statement issued by the ministry as saying.
The suspects, of an Arab nationality, were referred to the Public Prosecution as a prelude to taking legal action against them, the report said, without providing further details. ■
