VIENTIANE, Jan. 24 (Xinhua) -- Lao Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Suanesavanh Vignaket and her counterparts from other ASEAN (the Association of Southeast Asian Nations) members attended the opening ceremony of the ASEAN Tourism Exhibition here on Wednesday.
The exhibition, which will last till Jan. 27, drew nearly 100 booths from ASEAN member countries and more than 30 booths from Laos to showcase their products and services, according to the Lao Economic Daily on Wednesday.
The exhibition opened as part of the annual ASEAN Tourism Forum 2024, themed as "Quality and Responsible Tourism -- Sustaining ASEAN Future," and serves to spur tourism and service improvement in associated businesses, according to the local media. ■
