KUALA LUMPUR, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) -- A passenger car carrying 16 Chinese tourists was involved in an accident near Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and two people were injured and sent to a hospital Monday, according to the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia.
According to local media, at around 12:30 local time, the passenger car lost control suddenly on the road in Genting Highlands and ran out of the driving lane. The 16 tourists, including the two injured, were sent to a nearby hospital.
The Chinese Embassy in Malaysia immediately activated an emergency response mechanism to verify the accident and the injuries of the Chinese citizens.
The hospital said the injured have been treated and all the tourists have been released from hospital. ■
