DAMASCUS/TEHRAN, Jan. 20 (Xinhua) -- Four officers of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and an unknown number of civilians were killed in an Israeli missile attack on a residential neighborhood in the Syrian capital of Damascus on Saturday, an Iranian media source told Xinhua.
The source, who requires anonymity, said a two-story building, the second floor of which was occupied by a unit associated with the IRGC, was attacked by at least four missiles.
A local eyewitness told Xinhua that a Palestinian family was living on the ground floor of the building. It is believed that all of them were now buried under the rubble, as none of them were seen after the attack, he noted.
