BEIJING, Jan. 20 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 jolted 286 km SSE of Port Blair, India at 01:36:11 GMT on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 9.40 degrees north latitude and 94.03 degrees east longitude. ■
