CHANGCHUN, Jan. 19 (Xinhua) -- The gross domestic product (GDP) of northeast China's Jilin Province topped 1.35 trillion yuan (about 190 billion U.S. dollars) in 2023, up 6.3 percent year on year, local authorities said on Friday.

Last year, the added value of the province's primary industry reached over 164 billion yuan, up 5 percent year on year, while that of the secondary industry exceeded 458 billion yuan, an increase of 5.9 percent year on year.

Notably, the added value of Jilin's tertiary industry grew 6.9 percent to more than 730 billion yuan in 2023, said Lin Mei, head of the provincial statistics bureau, during a press conference.

Meanwhile, official data showed that the province had received 314 million domestic tourists in 2023, up 172.8 percent year on year, amounting to total tourism revenue of around 528 billion yuan, indicating the sector's steady recovery, said Chen Siyu, deputy head of the provincial culture and tourism department, at the press conference.
