VIENTIANE, Jan. 18 (Xinhua) -- A memorandum of understanding (MoU) on a rehabilitation project was signed here on Wednesday, aiming to help people with disabilities and vulnerable people, especially women and girls, to access quality rehabilitation services and education in Laos.

The MoU was signed between the Center of Medical Rehabilitation and Humanity and Inclusion, an international charity working in situations of poverty and exclusion, conflict and disaster, Lao National Radio reported on Thursday.

The project will promote, support and implement rehabilitation activities at the community level and assist referrals to access more specialized rehabilitation services.

Work will focus on upgrading rehabilitation services to enable people with disabilities to improve their quality of life and enjoy more social inclusion.

The project will be carried out in 15 villages in three districts of Huaphan province, and in 10 villages in two districts of Champasak province.
