BEIJING, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 jolted 65 km SW of Port Alexander, Alaska at 0746 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 0.2 km, was initially determined to be at 55.85 degrees north latitude and 135.41 degrees west longitude.
