NEW YORK, Jan. 8 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.5 jolted Talaud Islands, Indonesia, at 20:48:46 GMT on Monday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 96.8 km, was initially determined to be at 4.86 degrees north latitude and 126.31 degrees east longitude. ■
