SEOUL, Jan. 4 (Xinhua) -- Six local and foreign automakers in South Korea will voluntarily recall some 73,000 vehicles for manufacturing defects, the transport ministry said Thursday.
Tesla Korea will recall 63,991 units of four different models, including Model Y, for a software error in the auto pilot system along with 1,992 units of two models such as Model X to fix a defective door lock system, according to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
Hyundai Motor will recall 2,463 units of two models, including G80, for a faulty drive shaft of the rear wheel, while Ford Sales & Service Korea will recall 2,156 units of Mustang due to the failure of warning over brake oil depletion.
Nissan Korea will recall 1,101 units of two models, such as Altima 2.0, for a defective rear-view camera system, while Kia Corp. will recall 922 units of Seltos to repair a faulty air bag system.
Honda Korea will repair faulty engine parts in 49 units of Odyssey minivan.
Vehicles owners can visit repair and service centers to replace faulty parts free of charge. ■
