MEXICO CITY, Dec. 31 (Xinhua) -- Venezuelan international striker Salomon Rondon has joined Mexico's Pachuca in a deal that runs until December 2025.
The 34-year-old arrived as a free agent after parting ways with Argentina's River Plate by mutual consent on December 26.
Pachuca confirmed the move in a video posted on the club's social media accounts.
The signing was a special request of Pachuca manager Guillermo Almada and the center-forward is expected to begin training with his new teammates on Tuesday.
Rondon scored 10 goals in 35 appearances across all competitions for River Plate, having joined the club from Everton last January.
Pachuca will begin their 2024 Liga MX Clausura campaign with an away clash against Cruz Azul on January 13. ■
