HONG KONG, Dec. 24 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 jolted Tonga Islands at 14:52:57 GMT on Sunday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 20.83 degrees south latitude and 173.96 degrees west longitude. ■
