SEOUL, Dec. 14 (Xinhua) -- Five domestic and foreign automakers in South Korea will voluntarily recall some 60,000 vehicles for manufacturing defects, the transport ministry said Thursday.
KG Mobility will recall 58,103 units of Torres sports utility vehicle (SUV) model for defects in the advanced steering support system, according to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport.
Kia Corp. will recall 875 units of Carnival minivan model for faulty engine component, while Honda Korea will recall 730 units of two models, including Accord Hybrid, for defective seat belts.
BMW Korea will recall 38 units of five models, such as BMW X3 xDrive20i, to fix a faulty part in the steering system, while Toyota Motor Korea will repair defective rear lamps in 36 units of GR86 sports car model.
Vehicle owners can visit repair and service centers to replace the faulty parts free of charge. ■
