MEXICO CITY, Dec. 11 (Xinhua) -- Tigres UANL manager Robert Siboldi has told his players that "dreaming costs nothing" as the Mexican giants aim for back-to-back Liga MX titles.

Tigres advanced to the Apertura tournament final after a 1-1 home draw with Pumas UNAM on Sunday, which earned them a 2-1 victory on aggregate in their semifinal.

The Monterrey-based outfit will face Club America in the final, to be played over two legs on December 14 and 17.

"Not even in my wildest dreams did I imagine that I was going to experience this," said Siboldi, who replaced Marco Ruiz as head coach in April. "I feel privileged and I'm proud of everyone who makes up this squad."

Tigres are aiming to become only the fourth team in history to win back-to-back Liga MX trophies, emulating Pumas in 2004, Leon in 2013-2014, and Atlas 2021-2022.

"It would be a source of great pride to do it. It would be a privilege and dreaming costs nothing," Siboldi said.

"We have to focus on doing the things that helped us get to this point so that we give ourselves the best chance of winning [the final]," he added.
