GENEVA, Dec. 11 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed and another was injured on Monday in a shooting in Sion, the capital of the southern Swiss canton of Valais, said police.
The cantonal police department of Valais said in a press release that a gunman fired several shots at people at two separate locations in Sion shortly before 8:00 a.m. (0700 GMT) on Monday morning.
According to initial findings, the perpetrator knew his victims.
An investigation into the shooting is underway, the cantonal police said. ■
