BEIJING, Dec. 8 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.4 jolted Tonga Islands at 0959 GMT on Friday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 29.1 km, was initially determined to be at 20.28 degrees south latitude and 173.93 degrees west longitude. ■
