RIO DE JANEIRO, Dec. 7 (Xinhua) -- Teenage forward Endrick has vowed to continue fighting for titles with Palmeiras before his scheduled move to Real Madrid next summer.
Endrick's 11th league goal in 2023 earned Palmeiras a 1-1 draw at Cruzeiro on the final day of the Brazilian Serie A season on Wednesday, a result that guaranteed the club its 12th top flight title.
But far from becoming complacent, the 17-year-old said he was already thinking about the Sao Paulo championship and the Brazilian Super Cup.
"There is still a while to go before I leave," Endrick told reporters at the Mineirao stadium in Belo Horizonte. "But for me there are still some important trophies to win and I want to leave Brazil with them in my hand."
Endrick signed a deal with Real Madrid in December 2022 but is only allowed to join the Spanish giants when he turns 18 in July.
He has scored 31 first-team goals in 102 games since being promoted from the club's youth academy last year. ■
