BEIJING, Dec. 5 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 jolted Halmahera, Indonesia at 12:36:37 GMT on Tuesday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 49.9 km, was initially determined to be at 2.60 degrees north latitude and 128.30 degrees east longitude. ■
