BEIJING, Dec. 2 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.6 jolted West of Macquarie Island at 14:02:12 GMT on Saturday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 55.69 degrees south latitude and 147.02 degrees east longitude. ■
