MANILA, Dec. 2 (Xinhua) -- A 7.7-magnitude earthquake jolted ENE of Gamut, southern Philippines, at 1437 GMT on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 44.5 km, was initially determined to be at 8.61 degrees north latitude and 126.45 degrees east longitude. ■
