1. Chinese dragon version of Bing Dwen Dwen unveiled

A Chinese zodiac dragon version of Beijing Winter Olympic Games mascot Bing Dwen Dwen was unveiled at China's National Stadium on November 29.
The special version was designed to celebrate the second anniversary of the Beijing Games and the upcoming Year of the Dragon in February 2024.
Licensed products of the new version, including toys, badges and keychains, will hit the market on December 7.
2. Chinese shuttlers win 3 titles in badminton China Masters
World No. 1 pair Liang Weikeng and Wang Chang of China escaped late scares to defeat India's Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty in three sets to claim the men's doubles title at the 2023 BWF China Masters on November 26.
Liang and Wang converted on their seventh match point to win the final set 21-19. Liang and Wang took the first set 21-19 before their Indian counterparts leveled by taking the second 21-18.
Zheng Siwei and Huang Yaqiong eased past Seo Seung-Jae and Chae Yu-jung of South Korea 21-10, 21-11 to win the mixed doubles title, their sixth title of this season.
The women's singles title went to Chen Yufei, who beat fellow Chinese shuttler Han Yue in the final. Reigning Olympic champion Chen lost the first game 21-18, but came back to level by taking the second 21-4, before her opponent retired due to injury.
3. Premier League delegation visits "Village Super League" for future cooperation

A two-day visit by an English Premier League delegation to promote future football cooperation with the Village Super League, dubbed "Cun Chao" by Chinese netizens, came to an end on November 27 in Rongjiang County, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong Autonomous Prefecture, southwest China's Guizhou Province.
The delegation visited primary and secondary schools in Rongjiang, observed a match between two VSL teams, and held talks with VSL players, coaches and referees.
4. China's Xu Wenhao, Ethiopia's Deste set new event records at Shaoxing Marathon

China's Xu Wenhao and Ethiopia's Nigist Muluneh Deste set new event records in men's and women's races respectively to win the 2023 Shaoxing Marathon on November 26.
Xu crossed the finish line first in the men's category with a time of two hours, 12 minutes and 39 seconds.
In the women's race, Deste clocked a winning time of 2:27:50 to break the event record.
5. Liaoning pockets 10th straight win as second stage of CBA's regular season commences
The second stage of the 2023-24 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league's regular season commenced on December 1, and will last until February 2024.
The Liaoning Flying Leopards extended their winning streak to 10 games as the defending champions edged the Beijing Royal Fighters 121-116.
With 29 rounds of matches in this stage, accounting for more than half of the regular season schedule, the route toward the playoffs hinges on every team's roster depth, while standings are expected to fluctuate with comebacks and injuries taking place down the stretch. ■
