COLOMBO, Nov. 25 (Xinhua) -- Continued heavy rains, floods, and strong winds have been afflicting Sri Lanka's Western province and taking tolls on local traffic and infrastructure of Gampaha, with the coastal districts being most affected.
Over 5,000 people belonging to more than 1,400 families still remained affected by weather-related disasters in the Southeast Asian nation, the Disaster Management Center said in a report on Friday.
