TOKYO, Nov. 24 (Xinhua) -- Four people were injured on Friday after an elderly-driven car veered onto a sidewalk in Japan's central Tokyo, according to local police.

The accident occurred around noon at an intersection in the Ebisu neighborhood, In Tokyo's Shibuya District, where four pedestrians were hit and injured by a car driven by an 80-year-old man, said the police.

Despite sustaining injuries, all four victims remained conscious.

The driver, who also suffered minor injuries, was arrested on-site for reckless driving causing injuries.
