GAZA, Nov. 23 (Xinhua) -- The military wing of the Gaza-ruling Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) confirmed Thursday that a ceasefire would take effect in the war-ridden enclave the next day morning.

The Al-Qassam Brigades said in a statement that the ceasefire would last for four days, starting at 7 a.m. (0500 GMT) local time on Friday, accompanied by the suspension of all military actions from the Al-Qassam and other Gaza-based military factions, as well as restriction of the Israeli army's operations.

According to the statement, under the truce, Israeli aircraft would halt operations in southern Gaza and cease flying in northern Gaza for six hours daily, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

It said the truce includes a swap of Israeli hostages held in Gaza for female and teenage Palestinians jailed in Israel, with each Israeli captive to be exchanged for three Palestinian prisoners.

Over the expected four-day ceasefire, 50 Israeli prisoners would be released, according to the statement.

The truce would also allow 200 trucks of relief and medical supplies, along with four trucks of fuel and cooking gas, to enter Gaza daily, it added.
