GAZA, Nov. 20 (Xinhua) -- With only 10 percent of necessary food supplies able to enter Gaza Strip since the Israel-Hamas conflict erupted on Oct. 7, the residents in the Palestinian coastal enclave are now facing a massive food gap and widespread hunger.
Local residents are struggling to obtain food each day amid fear of a famine. The unprecedented food shortage is pushing Gazans toward harmful coping mechanisms, such as skipping or reducing meals and using unsafe, unhealthy methods for fire ignition, the World Food Programme has warned.
