TOKYO -- Japan's Toshiba Corporation reported on Tuesday a net loss of 52.14 billion yen (344 million U.S. dollars) for the six months ended September, marking its last earnings announcement before its stock delisting scheduled for next month.
The figure for the first half of fiscal 2023 is a reversal from a net profit of 100.66 billion yen Toshiba logged a year earlier, as the Japanese conglomerate posted a loss of about 100 billion yen linked to its 40 percent stake in its chip affiliate Kioxia Holdings Corp. (Japan-Toshiba)

MANILA -- The Asian Development Bank (ADB) on Tuesday said it has approved a loan of 400 million U.S. dollars to help the Philippines achieve its medium-term fiscal strategy and finance its post-pandemic economic recovery through a stronger focus on revenue mobilization.

KABUL -- More than 5,500 Afghan refugees returned to their home country on Monday, said a statement of Afghanistan's Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation Affairs on Tuesday.
A total of 5,640 refugees returned from Pakistan via Torkham and Spin Boldak crossing points to Afghanistan on Monday, the statement said, adding that the returnees have received necessary assistance. (Afghanistan-Refugee)

SEOUL -- South Korea's export of information and communications technology (ICT) products fell for the 16th consecutive month amid the continued weakness in global demand for locally-made tech products, government data showed Tuesday.
