NEW DELHI -- India's retail inflation eased to 4.87 percent in October, the latest government data showed Monday.
According to the data released by the federal ministry of statistics and program implementation (MoSPI), the inflation based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI) in October is 4.87 percent. In September, the CPI was 5.02 percent. (India-Inflation-Retail)

ABUJA -- At least eight people were killed after a boat, carrying passengers from Nigeria's northern state of Taraba, capsized in the neighboring state of Benue, local officials said Monday.

NICOSIA -- Five American servicemen died in a U.S. military air accident that occurred 30 nautical miles off the coast of Cyprus last Friday, Cyprus News Agency (CNA) said on Monday.

RABAT -- The Moroccan Treasury announced on Monday that the country's budget deficit soared to 3.71 billion U.S. dollars in the first 10 months of 2023, up from 2.5 billion dollars in the same period last year.
