BHAKTAPUR, Nepal, Nov. 11 (Xinhua) -- Tihar festival, the Hindu festival of lights, is celebrated across Nepal for five days to worship the Hindu goddess of wealth and prosperity Laxmi.

Potters make clay pots that are used as oil lamps, which are lit up in numerous households during the event as a symbolic gesture to illuminate the path of the goddess.
