YANGON, Nov. 8 (Xinhua) -- Four people were killed and six others sustained injuries in a drop bomb attack on a field in southern Myanmar's Bago region on Tuesday, state-run daily The Mirror reported on Wednesday.
According to the media report, the attack was carried out by the People's Defence Force (PDF) on a field on the bank of Sittaung River near Tanawkyun village in Waw township of Bago region at around 2:15 p.m. local time on Tuesday.
The deceased included four males, while the injured included five males and one female, the report said.
The injured were sent to the Waw township station hospital, it said.
Security personnel were taking necessary measures to reinforce territorial security and control in the area, it said. ■
