Deng Haoji, chief operating officer of a fruit import company, and his colleagues welcomed in Chongqing this June the first direct cold-chain train loaded with 500 tons of Thai durians via the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor. Since the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) was put forward, the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor has become a major international trade corridor for China to carry out economic and trade cooperation with BRI partner countries. More and more agricultural products from ASEAN countries have entered the Chinese market via the trade corridor.
