VIENTIANE, Nov. 6 (Xinhua) -- A study and data collection to develop a green city action plan for the Lao capital Vientiane by applying International Finance Corporation practices will be conducted.
According to Lao News Agency on Monday, the project aims to develop a green city action plan by collecting data and information from relevant sectors.
The action plan will focus on setting up targets for greenhouse gas emissions reduction, policy measures, activities or priority projects for green investment which will result in improving environment, and transforming the Lao capital into a low-carbon and climate-resilient city from 2030 onwards.
The action plan will suggest priority green projects to attract funding from international financial institutions once it is completed. ■
