VIENTIANE, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- The Festival of Floating Boats of Light (Boun Lai Heua Fai) in the northern Lao world heritage town of Luang Prabang was held on Oct. 30, 2023.
People lighted lanterns to decorate the city, and paraded with and later floated large dragon boats down the Mekong River, to let the diseases and bad luck drift away and good luck flow in.
