ISLAMABAD, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- West Indies Women A cricket team defeated the Pakistani side in the 3rd one-day match on Sunday, winning the series 2-1 in Pakistan's eastern city of Lahore, said a statement on Monday morning.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said that the visiting team scaled down the target of 163 runs off 44.5 overs to win the 3rd and final match at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.

Playing first, Pakistan Women A got a good start with an opening partnership of 49 runs between Shawaal Zulfiqar and Eyman Fatima. However, the host side crashed down by losing six wickets at 63 runs after the visiting team's bowlers rattled through the Pakistani batting line that went all out at 162 runs only.

Jahzara Claxton damaged the Pakistani side's batting line by taking four wickets for 19 runs and was declared player of the match.

Pakistani skipper Rameen Shamim bowled a tremendous spell, picking up four wickets for 13 runs off 10 overs. However, Djenaba Joseph's unbeaten 51 steered the visitors to victory in the decisive encounter.

Now, both teams will feature in a Twenty20 tri-series along with Thailand women's emerging team, starting on Friday at the Gaddafi Stadium.
