GAZA -- The death toll of Palestinians from Israeli strikes on the Gaza Strip rose to 8,005, including 3,342 children, the Hamas-run Health Ministry said on Sunday.

CAIRO -- Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi and U.S. President Joe Biden on Sunday agreed on the need to increase aid sustainably to Gaza.

DAMASCUS -- Israel launched a missile attack overnight Sunday targeting several areas in Syria's southern province of Daraa in response to the alleged firing of rockets from Syria, according to a war monitor.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights confirmed the Israeli missile strikes on the countryside of Daraa, where the rocket attack on the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights reportedly originated from. (Syria-Israel-Missile Attack)

JERUSALEM -- Israel expanded on Sunday its ground operation in the Gaza Strip and intensified the airstrike in the besieged enclave, as the death toll in Gaza rose to 8,005.
Two days after sending soldiers into the Gaza Strip, Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Spokesman Daniel Hagari told a press briefing that the military "expanded the entry of IDF troops into the Gaza Strip."
He said that the current ground operations are focused on the northern Gaza Strip, and they are "gradually expanding the ground activity and the scope of our forces in the Gaza Strip." (Israel-Gaza-Operation Expansion) ■
