RAMALLAH, Oct. 29 (Xinhua) -- At least four Palestinians were killed by gunfire of Israeli security forces on Sunday during clashes in various areas in the West Bank.
According to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, two of them were killed respectively in the Askar and Balata refugee camps in Nablus, one was killed in the northeastern city of Tubas, and one in Beit Rima, northwest of Ramallah city.
Palestinian medical and security sources told Xinhua that dozens of Palestinians were injured by live bullets during the clashes between Palestinians and Israeli security forces during raids in the West Bank.
During a raid, the Israeli forces demolished the house of Hassan Qatnani, said the sources. Qatnani was killed by Israeli forces along with two other Palestinians in early May for a deadly shooting attack against Israeli settlers.
The Israel Defense Forces confirmed early Sunday in a statement that it carried out multiple raids during the night in the West Bank, having destroyed a home, arrested 23 wanted persons and confiscated "many weapons."
Since the start of the new round of conflict between Hamas and Israel on Oct. 7, 115 Palestinians have been killed in clashes with Israeli soldiers and settlers in West Bank, the official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported. ■
