HANGZHOU, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- India's Sheetal Devi, 16, who became the first armless woman to win a Para World Archery Championships medal in July, combined with her teammate to win the women's doubles compound silver medal at the Asian Para Games on Wednesday.
China claimed the gold.
Sheetal was diagnosed with phocomelia syndrome when she was born, a condition under which limbs remain undeveloped.

She took up the sport just a year ago and within a short span of 12 months has won the prestigious world championship medal, and booked a place at the 2024 Paris Paralympic Games.

She shoots with the help of her legs and feet, a style similar to that of legendary armless archer Matt Stutzman from the United States. ■
