WASHINGTON, Oct. 22 (Xinhua) -- China's national champion An Xiangyi finished ninth in her first senior ISU Figure Skating Grand Prix at the Skate America on Sunday in Texas, United States.

In ice dance, American stars Madison Chock and Evan Bates, the reigning world champions, scored 212.96 after the free dance, easily winning their fourth Skate America title.

"Skate America is a very special Grand Prix for us, mainly because it's a chance to skate in front of a home audience which is very special and fun," Chock said after their free skate, set to music from Pink Floyd's "The Dark Side of the Moon."

Marjorie Lajoie and Zachary Lagha finished second with 196.99. French national champions Evgeniia Lopareva and Geoffrey Brissaud finished third with 193.47.
