BEIJING, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 jolted Kermadec Islands, New Zealand at 0803 GMT on Monday, the GFZ German Research Centre for Geosciences said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 29.91 degrees south latitude and 177.30 degrees west longitude. ■
